About
Who We Are
We are a collective of concerned students, scholars, and citizens dedicated to holding academic institutions accountable for their global impact. We believe universities must actively promote justice, human rights, and transparency in their partnerships and practices.
Our Mission
We are calling on Wageningen University & Research (WUR) to disclose, boycott, and divest from Israeli institutions complicit in the exploitation and violence against Palestinian people. Our mission is to align WUR’s global actions with its core values of improving the quality of life and fostering a fair academic environment.
Why We Stand for Palestine
Our campaign seeks to expose the role Israeli academic institutions play in perpetuating apartheid and the oppression of Palestinians. We are not against Israeli people or Jewish individuals but against the systems and institutions that violate human rights. Academic freedom should be universal, and WUR has a responsibility to ensure that its partnerships respect this principle.
Our Demands
- Disclose: WUR must be transparent about its ties to Israeli institutions and companies that profit from the oppression of Palestinians.
- Boycott: WUR should sever ties with Israeli institutions that contribute to apartheid and violence against Palestinians.
- Divest: We call on WUR to divest from any funds or companies profiting from the occupation and exploitation of Palestinian land.
- Solidarity: We ask WUR to publicly stand with Palestinian universities, professors, and students who have been targeted, and create scholarships for Palestinian students.
Why Academic Freedom Matters
True academic freedom includes the right to challenge unjust systems. We stand for the protection of Palestinian academic freedom, which is being infringed by the ongoing conflict. WUR must ensure that its collaborations uphold this principle and avoid partnerships that compromise human rights.
Making a Difference
We believe that by taking a stand, WUR can inspire other universities to follow suit. This will help build international pressure against human rights violations and contribute to a more just and peaceful world.
